ผลการสำรวจของ Nielsen ในอังกฤษ เทียบ Q2/Q3 2009 พบว่าคนใช้สมาร์ทโฟนเพิ่มขึ้น 10% (5.6M to 6.2M) สมาร์ทโฟนตอนนี้มีส่วนแบ่งตลาดในอังกฤษประมาณ 15%

ส่วนจะมีสมาร์ทโฟนแล้วเอามาทำอะไรกันบ้าง (นอกจากโทร) ดูได้จากตาราง (ตารางนี้เรียงตาม QoQ growth ไม่ใช่ตามจำนวนคนใช้)

ความน่าสนใจน่าจะเป็นอันดับ 2 Downloading apps คงเป็นผลมาจาก iPhone ด้วยส่วนหนึ่ง บริการอย่าง MMS ก็ได้รับความนิยมไม่น้อย (เป็น counter claim ได้ว่าการที่ iPhone ไม่มี MMS ช่วงแรกเป็นปัญหาสำหรับผู้ใช้ส่วนหนึ่ง)
